good times is here—
I'm a Monkee Fangirl for Life!
It's my fave band of all time's first album in 20 years and I couldn't help but fall in love with the guys all over again. Good Times is just what I'd expect from a Monkees album and a bright spot in the world drowning in musical angst (sorry, Adele).
All the 60s flair, echoed laughter and reverb with the warm hug of what I wish all music would be. Good Times is the #barefacedlife wrapped up one plastic disk and I'm definitely getting the vinyl.
I can't wait to hear the new stuff in concert! And I hope a Monkees second album is in the making. The Manchester Cowboy would be so proud! Good Times deserves to be piped through the pearly gates!
big love for micky d.
I had all the vintage Monkee pullouts from Tiger Beat up in my locker when my friends were jonesing on Menudo.
I have prayed for this guy and his family specifically every night since my tweens. Seriously I wanted to be his daughter. There was something about the way that he acted that I knew there was something so special and unique about his heart and God blessed me with beautiful friends that arranged an opportunity to sit down with him for coffee. That night I found out the Micky heart that I saw on TV, a love for family and music and fun...it was all true. And that kind of star quality is very hard to find.
Thank you, God for blessing the world with these four guys— the music and laughter remains!

These four guys paved the wave for every Disney star out there. And this kind of fun has yet to be replicated. If you haven't seen the show before, you haven't lived. Just flip on some YouTube and you'll know why these guys were even more lovable than The Beatles (and believe me, I LOVE The Beatles).
